Tacos

Child (age 3): Can we have tacos for lunch?

 

Parent: No, but we can have them for dinner tonight

 

Child:  YUMM!!  I like tacos.  I am going to eat lots of them.

 

Parent: Are you going to become the taco monster??

 

Child:  I am going to eat a lot of tacos, with SALSA!  LOTS OF SALSA!

 

Parent (in deep gruffy voice): I am the taco monster!  Eating all the tacos!  Tacos with lots of salsa! (Making cookie monster eating motions) YUMM YUMM YUMM!!!!!

 

Child:  I am not a monster like that!  I am just a PERSON!  A person who likes tacos.  AND likes salsa!  Daddy, you're funny.  I am not that kind of taco monster!
